"One Offs" Super 7 | Jan 28

Last night was the opening night for the One Offs show at Super 7 in SF. Great fun with fellow artists/friends, the show sold a ton of great customs in the first hour it opened.

Am the proud owner of this piece by Leecifer :)

Kirkland of Toybot Studios did an amazing job with his customs - the colors and details are superb!

My buddy, Nebulon 5's beautiful customs above. Fantastic job, amigo!
Much thanks to Lee for inviting me to be a part of the show; it was the first time showing at Super7 for me and hopefully it won't be the last!

Super7 - "1 Offs"

I was super stoked when Leecifer contacted me to be a part of a show he was putting together at Super7. Being a huge kaiju fan, it's a honor to be in a show hosted by Super7. It is a place I frequently visit for Secret Base/Pushead toys. I haven't done any customs on Super7 toys before so this was going to be a first. I will have a post of my submissions for the show on here soon. A side note for fans/attendees; this is a cash n' carry so you'll get to take home the piece you purchase on the same night!

One Offs - Mummy Boy

Being A huge fan of Star Wars, I wanted to do a custom figure paying my respect to the dark side. Here I took a Super 7 pocket mummy boy, split him in 2, sculpted a new body and new head. Enjoy :)
"My name is pocket mumma-vader."

"Hi, my name is lil mumma-vader boy."

One Offs - Garuru

Looking forward to being apart of the super 7 one offs show. For this show I decided to customize a Itokin Park Gararu. Spliting the toy in half, I sculpted new bodies and new heads. Enjoy :)
"Hi, my name is Gararar and I'll be at Super 7 on January 29!"

"Hi, my name is Gargar. I'll be with my buddy, Gararar at Super7!"

"See y'all there!"

Vertigo: A Decade Of Hunting Nightmares by Alex Pardee

Over the weekend, we trekked down to Culver City for the opening of Alex's solo show: Vertigo in Corey Helford Gallery. To appreciate the show in its entirety, you must read the story that Alex created about Verti Parker.

Driving by prior to the show, we noticed a line forming by around 4pm in front of the gallery. The 9 foot tall Molar Bear greeted us as we entered:
We arrived at 7pm sharp and the gallery was already filled to the brim with barely any room to stare at the art pieces up close.
Crowd! As I recall, we left around 10pm and the line to get in was still miles long.
Much apologies for the sorry lighting and quality of pictures/angles. The sea of people made it a bit hard to get a good picture - but here we go:
(Each piece is accompanied by a story; be sure to check Alex's site for updates and periodic release of the stories.)

Much congrats and thanks to Alex for inviting me to the show. All of the art pieces blew me away and left me speechless. You continue to inspire me and I look forward to many more of your work to come.
Amazed + in awe + anxiousness = a stiff smile from me.
The trip ended when I got eaten alive by a whale. The end.
